Calabogie, August 10, 2024 – Steven marked a significant milestone in his racing career as he took the wheel of the Ligier P315 for the first time at Calabogie Motorsports Park. The test served as the initial step in his transition to prototype endurance racing, with his sights set on competing in the North American HSR Endurance Championship next season.

The opening session on August 10th saw Steven getting acclimated to the high-downforce, high-performance characteristics of the Ligier P315. Throughout the day, he focused on understanding the car’s aerodynamic behaviour, braking dynamics, and tire management. Returning to the track on August 13 for a second round of testing, Steven refined his pace, working closely with engineers to optimize setup and improve his sector times.

"Driving the LMP3 for the first time was an incredible experience," said Steven. "The car demands precision and confidence, and every lap taught me something new. The progress between the first and second test was evident, and I was eager to push the limits further."

A week later, on August 20, Steven took his testing program to Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park), a track renowned for its fast, flowing corners and elevation changes. The test at Mosport was crucial in adapting to high-speed stability and learning the nuances of handling an LMP3 car on one of North America’s most challenging circuits.

"Mosport was another level," he reflected. "The speed, the commitment required—it was an intense learning curve, but one that has prepared me well for endurance racing."

With three successful tests under his belt, Steven is now fully focused on his endurance racing aspirations. The upcoming months will see him further refining his craft in preparation for his North American HSR Endurance Championship debut. As he continues his development, anticipation builds for what promises to be a breakthrough year in his motorsport career.
